My Dream of the Future Essay & Speech Contest
for Adolescents with a Korean background
Do you dream of becoming the next international pop star? What about the first Canadian Prime Minister of Korean descent? Will you be a future actress just like Sandra Oh or Grace Park? Hope to be the most successful Korean entrepreneur in Canada?
Lets talk about your dreams for the future as a person of Korean Heritage who lives in Canada. The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Education Centre in Canada are launching the 1st <My Dream of the Future Essay & Speech Contest> for Korean adolescents in Ontario. Your essay should discuss how your dream will help boost bilateral relations between Korea and Canada (culturally, politically or economically). $1,800 in cash prizes will be awarded this year and the grand prize winner will be invited to give a speech at the 2016 Korean National Foundation Day ceremonies. Eligibility- Anyone the ages of 12 -17 of Korean Descent in Ontario (Including Permanent Residents, Canadian Citizens, Study Permit holders, Single-side Korean families & Adoptees)
Topic - My Future Dream and how to achieve the dream as someone of Korean descent living in Canada and how this dream will help enhance Canada-Korea relations.

Division - Students G 7-9 or Ages 12-14: Maximum of 2 pages Essay (letter size)
Students G 10-12 or Ages 15-17: Maximum of 3 pages Essay (letter size)
Schedule
-Submission Deadline: September 18, 2016 24:00 (by email only)
-Competition finalists will be announced: September 20, 2016 17:00 on the KEC website (www.cakec.com)
-Competition and Awards ceremony: September 23, 2016 at the Korean Consulate General in Toronto.
