2024 Application Guidelines of Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees (GKS-G)
Global Korea Scholarship is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea in pursuit of academic degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.
This Scholarship Program invites four Canadian nationals (three Canadians, one overseas Korean) for the "2024 Global Korean Government Scholarship Program for International Students for Graduate Degrees”, to be conducted in Korea (Master's Degree Program: 1 year of Korean Language Training + 2 years of Degree Program or Doctoral Degree Program: 6 months or 1 year of Korean Language Training + 3 years of Degree Program).
*Please note that two other candidates from Quebec will be separately recommended by the Korean Consulate General in Montreal. For detailed information on 2024 GKS for Quebec, please contact the Korean Consulate General in Montreal.
The deadline for the application is Monday, March 4, 2024 (By mail or in-person. For mail-in applications, the application package must arrive by the date of the deadline.)
Please be advised that Canada has joined the Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents, commonly known as the "Apostille Convention." This convention will take effect in Canada starting from January 11, 2024, onwards.
Henceforth, Canadian public and private documents intended for use in Korea will only require Apostille certificates. There will be no need for further legalization at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Canada.
