2025 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS-G) Program for Graduate Degrees
Global Korea Scholarship is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea in pursuit of academic degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.
This Scholarship Program invites four Canadian nationals (three Canadians, one overseas Korean) for the "2025 Global Korean Government Scholarship Program for International Students for Graduate Degrees”, to be conducted in Korea (Master's Degree Program: 1 year of Korean Language Training + 2 years of Degree Program or Doctoral Degree Program: 1 year of Korean Language Training + 3 years of Degree Program).

Application Process: Applicants must apply through the Education Affairs Section at the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto.
Application Deadline: Friday, February 28, 2025(Applications can be submitted by mail or in person. For mail-in applications, the package must arrive by the deadline.)
Important Submission Notes:
February 28, 2025 (Friday): Documents must arrive by February 28 to be considered valid.
If the original documents requiring consular verification or apostille are not verified by February 28, copies must be submitted by February 28, and the verified documents can be supplemented by March 13.
Original confirmed documents must be submitted by March 13.
Failure to submit confirmed original documents by this date will result in disqualification.
Apostille Convention Notice: As of January 11, 2024, Canada has joined the Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents ("Apostille Convention"). Canadian public and private documents intended for use in Korea now only require an Apostille certificate, eliminating the need for further legalization at the Korean Embassy.
